I think that there are a few typical mistakes that are often made by new dollmakers, and one of them is making dolls that are too big. I was no exception to this. Though my first one was 13 inches tall, the next few were 19 to 20. Since I firmly felted the body of my creations almost from the very beginning of my career, the amount of effort needed to do so at larger scales became a completely mind-numbing toil.
